the device was developed specifically for multi-head embroidery machines (Japanese or German), where there are 2-axis tables  moved by  large stepper motor endowed with high-resolution (up to 2000 steps / rev).

 

The driver can pilot 5-phase bipolar motors with 7000 steps / sec.
