The panel drives 40 electromechanical 7-segment numeric displays (bistable type), plus two LED lamps (12V / 4W).

 

The panel receives the pattern number from a remote PC (connected via serial port optically isolated 20mA CURRENT LOOP), encodes them into commands for segments (14 for each digit) and sends it into 40 digit format.

 

It also allows the driving of a graphic display MICROGRAF (with RS232 input) using the same serial line CURRENT LOOP: The message received from the PC is removed and, if directed to the graphic display, is reissued on the RS232 output.

 

The panel is designed for outdoor use (IP65), and all utilities are very low voltage (12 V DC) in order to reduce the risks associated with any water infiltration.
